Living the life of a remote worker, I usually spend several months in a particular location where I focus mainly on work and then spend the rest of my time elsewhere, where I move more frequently. While most of my time is spent working, I always make time for exploration whenever possible.

Freelance writing has allowed me to embrace the work-from-anywhere lifestyle – as in anywhere with the internet – and I couldn’t ask for anything better. So far, it has been a rewarding experience, allowing me to see the world without sacrificing work. Thanks to this flexibility, I can change my environment to get a better creativity flow and visit my loved ones more frequently.

I started exploring the work and travel lifestyle during my first job as a full-time copywriter at a travel and communication company. It all started when I requested to work while travelling for at least a month but at a reduced salary. Fortunately, the company CEO was cool with the idea and gave me the green light to work and travel. Today, I’m a full-time freelancer.

While remote working has served me well over these years, it’s not an easy career path. Being a remote worker (or digital nomad) doesn’t mean I’m always at the beach sipping margaritas. Like most jobs, it requires hard work – some days are harder than others, so I’m not free from stress. I also keep myself busy building other projects that mainly involve creating content.

Since working while travelling can be stressful, planning my schedule carefully is paramount. I’ll cover topics on digital nomads or the work-from-anywhere lifestyle soon, so stay tuned, especially if you’re interested in the nomadic lifestyle or earning an income while travelling.
